Happy Gas

Anxious about your visit to the dentist? At Newmarket Dental, we understand that some patients may feel a little nervous about sitting in the dentist’s chair. So we have the facility to use Nitrous Oxide, often referred to as ‘Happy Gas’ or ‘Laughing Gas’.

Happy Gas is a form of inhalation sedation which can help you to relax and also has an analgesic (pain relief) benefit. Although very effective for most patients, it isn’t appropriate for everyone. Some anxious patients prefer to use a valium-type drug instead before their appointment.
